Merry Christmas

We are wanting to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.  It is such a wonderful time of year.  The birth of Jesus is truly wonderful and so many times we look past the real reason of Christmas.  Also, may everyone have a blessed 2009.

Game Night

This is the fourth year we have had game night at our house.  It is kind of our old Oslo crowd Christmas.  We eat and then play games.  I highly recommend Partini... it was a blast.  Then of course Luke was irritating in Pitch.  Here are a couple of pictures... I thought I would tell who is in the big group (kids) picture....left to right and back first:
Rachelle Holt, Trell Etbauer, Kaylee Holt, Cody Cartwright, Jason Shoulders, Justin Johnson(cheating he is on the fireplace ledge), Mark TeBeest, Katy (Jason and Ambers friend and she isn't cheating!), ME, Jason and Amber (plus baby) TeBeest, Sammy Johnson, then Luke and Charlie.
Lisa got sick (like the flu) and went home and Wade went home early too... party pooper:)

PUPPIES!!!

We have puppies... and we still have some if anyone wants one for FREE!!!  They are half weimaraner half rodesian ridgeback.  Crosby was having fun with one of the puppies.  He is laughing (not crying) in one of the pictures.  He really likes the puppies... and then he is done liking them after 5 minutes.

Playing in the Toybox

Crosby really likes to play with his toys... literally.  He has been liking to get into his toybox to play.  I can't imagine sitting on the toys it very comfortable.  He has a really cool toybox too.  It is a barn.  You can't  see the top but it is a horse barn.  Complete with horses in the windows.  His Poppee made it.  Crosby loves it!

The Village

Cody's mom had a village at her house at Christmastime.  We have continued that Christmas tradition.  Some of the village is Cody's mom's and some of it we have gotten since we got married.  It is always fun to have out.  Since it is something that was totally new to me, I wanted to share it.  Our first Christmas Cody talked about a village... I was clueless and even more clueless how to put it up..  One picture is of the town and the other is of the ski mountain and around it.

Picture Time

In an attempt to get a good picture of Crosby for our Christmas cards I took him outside... at 8:30 at night.  I know that 8:30 is more like bedtime but I needed a picture.  He is very happy and content outside so I thought he would have a good smile.  He was happy but wouldn't be still.  Here he is running around.  He is a pretty fast little guy... like his dad not his mom.  The not so good picture is what he looked like in the house next to the tree which is where I wanted a good picture.  Kids just don't cooperate sometimes.

Thanksgiving

Yes... it is almost Christmas and I am just now putting pictures from Thanksgiving.  It is not very often that Lisa, Mom, Aunt Karen, Grandma and I take a picture.  But, we did this year and I love it so I thought I would put it on here.  Also, there is a picture of Grandma and Crosby.

Fat Lip

I wish I could say that this is Crosby's first boo boo... but he is a boy and gets hurt often.  Yesterday we went to the park with Amy and Jacque.  Somehow while going down the slide he got a fat lip.  It was bleeding but that didn't stop him from playing.   This was his lip today.  It has gone down and is no longer bloody.
His Granny is gone not even a day before he gets hurt.  I am sure he was wanting her back.  She would have given him more sympathy or would have watched him better and not talked to her friends.

Granny and Bob

Granny and Bob came to spend the week with us.  We are always so happy when they are able to come.  Granny is so helpful and we enjoy spending time with them and I wish I could say we enjoy beating them in games.  However I was the one who lost.  Crosby just loves his Bob and Nanny.  He isn't saying Granny yet.  We would come in the house from being somewhere and the first thing he would say is Bob Granny with his hands out like he was wondering where they are.  We will miss them as they are on their way to California.  In the picture it is their last night.  Crosby is tired and yes... he has a bottle at night still.

Crosby's Baptism

Crosby got baptized last Sunday.  Scott and Erika are his Godparents.  We are excited and know they will always be there for him.  They are two very special people... somehow one of Crosby's first people words (words other than ball, eat, etc.) was Scott.  Crazy!  He also loves Erika too.  Crosby isn't smiling... He was tired and hungry.  Pictures are the last thing he was wanting.

Emma and Crosby

Well it has been forever since I have put anything on the page... I have been sick with some kind of virus and Granny and Bob have been here.  Emma stayed with us the other day while her mom and dad had to work.  Emma loves Cody!  Emma and Crosby get along really well.  The day Cody had them (I was at work) they went out to the horses.  In the pickup they both fell asleep.  Cody is so good with the kids.

Trick or Treat

When we were trick-or-treating we got this on a card and I thought it was neat.
Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin.  God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you.  He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff- including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc.  Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

Here Crosby is in his costume.  He got the hang of knocking on the door saying trick or treat.  He would only say one word though.

Dressed and Ready

I just thought this was cute.  We were getting ready for a football game.  Crosby had his jersey on.  He loves going to the football games.  He is a bit of a social butterfly.  Of course, we had to put his coat on so his jersey was covered up.  Oh well.  He is number 3 because that was his dad's number.

Helping Dad

Crosby is good at helping Dad.  Today they headed out to work at the farmhouse.  Justin and Cody were working on a waterline.  Crosby was helping them.  These are pictures of Crosby in the hole Cody and Justin dug.  Then they filled it with water and Crosby fell in.  He loves to swim but this wasn't the same.  Then his Uncle Justin was cleaning him up.  Clearly he isn't too happy.  It was a mess but he is all boy!!!

Dogs

Crosby loves animals. He can tell you what most animals say. There are times he thinks that he is a dog. He is always wanting in the pen to play with them. Here is a picture of Crosby with one of the dogs in the back of the pick-up.
