Granny and Bob

Crosby is in heaven. His Granny (dranny) and Bob are here. He loves to go visit them in their motor home. Yesterday we had gone out to the cematery pretty early. When we were pulling into the drive Crosby said "I see Dranny." I thought that meant he saw her motor home. So I said yes. First thing when he got out of the pick-up he ran right to the motor home. He meant he see her right then. Then last night Granny had gone out to the motor home while we were watching the Nuggets play basketball. Crosby was saying "I see Dranny" and then crying because I told him no she was in bed. So, then I asked him if he wanted to go to bed. He said yes. Cody and I thouhght that was weird. Crosby ran to the back door. He wanted to go to Granny's bed. We went back in the living room... Crosby is upset. So, Bob gives in and takes Crosby to see his Granny at 10:00 at night. He isn't going to know what to do when the motor home isn't in the driveway. He will really miss them. This picture is of one morning when Crosby and Granny are eating apricots on the step of the motor home. The other is of Crosby before we went to church. I must add... Granny is actually my grandmother and Crosby's great-grandmother.

New Baby Colt

Crosby went with Mac the other day to see the new colt. I just loved the pictures because it is crazy how small they are. And as you can see Crosby was pretty happy!

Goggles

Yesterday I checked in on Crosby... he was playing in his playroom. He was trying to put goggles on Goofy. He got them on (upside down). Then later he comes out with the goggles on himself. I just thought it was funny.

Dad and Croz

Crosby loves to help his dad mow. Here is a picture of them earplugs included. I can't drive the mower straight with those silly stearing levers and Cody can make straight lines with Crosby on his lap. Anytime Crosby sees Cody mowing he insists that Daddy needs help. So, Crosby sits on his lap to help.

Parade

Last weekend we went to the Pioneer Days parade. It was cold that morning but we thought we would go anyway. Crosby really didn't like it as much as we thought he would. He liked the horses, tractors and trucks but he didn't go for the candy. His most exciting moment was when he saw his babysitter (which he LOVES) riding on a car in the parade. He also liked getting to see his cousins who we sat with at the parade. We were going to go to the carnival and rodeo that day but we were too cold. So, we went home and watched the Kentucky Derby which was so cool. We did go to the rodeo on Sunday and Crosby liked seeing the horses and cows.

My Funny

This is my funny... my friend Becky and I plant a garden at my house each spring. This year we wanted to plant asparagus but didn't want it in the ground because it would get rototilled next spring... which we didn't want. Well, we got these two year old plants and put them in the barrel things Cody got for us. We planted them and were so excited. Then Amy (a friend who also has a garden) and I were sitting eating supper. She said something about asparagus and the roots. That is when I realized Becky and I had planted our asparagus UPSIDE DOWN! We replanted them and have had a lot more success in growing them. As Robert Earl Keen would say "that is a Missy moment." I put a picture on of what the roots on top looked like.

My Little Helper

I have been getting my potts and beds planted with flowers. Crosby likes to help whether it is with a shovel, watering or pruning on the plants. I thought the pictures of him helping water we so cute. He tells me "I help you mom." It is adorable.

Eater

At school the rotary has an easter egg hunt for the community. I had to teach but Cody brought Crosby. Then Crosby went with my friend Charliss. Crosby was sharing... when he would find an egg he would put it in someone else's basket. The he loved the grass. He played and played with it. What a mess he made.

New Dog

We went through a really bad time and lost 3 of our dogs. One was Cody's border collie Boomer who was wonderful! He was so great with Crosby and Crosby absolutely loved him. Then we lost Harley. That was my scnauzer that Cody got me for our one year dating anniversary. Harley was also wonderful. He was a schnauzer who didn't yip and jump all over. He and Crosby were also close. Crosby would start out the day wanting to go outside and play with the dogs. When they were gone he no longer wanted to go outside and play. So... we got another border collie. Here is a picture of Crosby with Dallas. I will be glad when we don't have to supervise them and Dallas and Crosby can play. The other dog we lost was our rodesian ridgeback Body. He is still alive though just gone. I am sure I misspelled a million things... sorry!h
